hey im gna start playing the bass guitar-no i don't play regular guitar im just starting-and anyway i was just wondering if i should start with a 4, 5 or 6 string guitar? i can already play a little on the regular guitar and i played the piano so i have a knak 4 learning new instruments!! thx!

I always tell my students the same thing - walk before you run. There's no need to start with more than a 4-string, unless you have a 5-string gig lined up! Once you work hard and master the 4, then you can move on.
