is it possible to switch out guitar parts from a cheaper guitar, into a more expensive guitar body?
if i got a lets say a 300 dollar ibanez and bought a body from a 1000 dollar ibanez guitar, could i take the parts from the 300 dollar guitar, and switch them? what about through different brands? like ibanez parts into a gibson?
As long as the pickup types are the same (Single Coil to Single, Humbucker to Hum.) The Tuner holes might have to be re drilled. And The rest might have to be modified slightly. But yes. All guitar parts for the most part are interchangable.
If you have the parts and the body it shouldn't cost you too much to have them fit the guitar with the new parts. A good luither should be able to do it within a week, A day or two if they are not busy.
But the brand will not matter with fitting it with it. its the sizes that affect everything.
