It is good to know that there is a certain aspect of the game of golf that wants very little investment to improve, and it is the golf ball. This can help them stop on the greens without steering away from the hole once they hit the grass as well.

Quilts from Art Auctions
I’ve been traveling throughout California attending art auctions looking for unique quilts. I have had a lot of success. I have found so many quilts that you could tell were filled with thousands of hours of careful planning and stitching.
I was attending at art auction in Orange and found a wonderful quilt. The quilt was from the Civil War era and was made in the design of Blazing Stars. There was a wonderful appliqued red and green swag-like border. The center of the quilt has a feathered heart hand quilted.
The art auction that I went to in San Bruno had a fabulous quilt that was made in the 1860s. The quilt was hand appliqued using cheddar, red and green cotton solid fabrics. The background was white and the border has a meandering flowering vine. It was truly special.
I found a great quilt that was made in 1894 while I was at an art auction in Rancho Cucamonga. The style of the quilt was really fun. It was called a Victorian Crazy Quilt. There was so much elaborate hand embroidery over every seam and within the blocks, it was magnificent.
I was on vacation in Napa and attended an art auction that had several really nice quilts. The one that I won was made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and was completed in the 1870s. I like the design called Ocean Waves. The chain had earth green and chocolate brown triangles that were pieced with exceedingly fine skill and precision. The border and background color was warm, cadmium orange.
The quilt I found at an art auction in Paradise was an 1840's thin, cotton Quaker quilt, which measures 108" x 88" and had 10 stitches per inch. It was a Quaker cotton wedding quilt. The top border, near the pillows, had a blue print and each side and the bottom had wide borders with North Carolina Quilt blocks in each corner. There were two rows of North Carolina Lilies in the center, and one row on each side facing outward.
The quilt made its way into the art auction because someone made the decision to sell some of the great historic heirlooms that were passed down through her family to her. I was very fortunate to acquire this heirloom that had passed through the many generations of Quaker families. Now I own one of the great Pennsylvania Quaker masterpieces.
Log cabin quilts are a design that I have always liked. My grandmother made a quilt using this design for me when I was twelve. I found one made in a similar fashion at an art auction Los Gatos. The quilt was made in the 1870s and was made by Mennonites.
I was lucky to find the art auction, it was difficult to find. The quilt is just fantastic. The light and dark design of this quilt has a red center on one side with two green bars, two cinnamon bars and two blue bars and then two red bars and on the other side of the red square in the center are two yellows, two black and white stripe, two lovely Lancaster blue bars, and two peppermint stripe bars.
There was an art auction in Huntington Beach that advertised quilts and I was really happy with the pieces that I found there. The quilt that I bought had a pictorial motif, like an album quilt, with a lot of interesting designs. Each block was quite different and special.

There is a website called Spoonflower. You can find a lot of fabrics there. If you don't find it you can design it and they will print it on your choice of cloth for you.

You want to know that, also local business want to get online and get more customers.
Marketing for small local businesses can be both profitable and rewarding.

Contact your local Chamber of Commerce to see when they will have the next lunch meeting or other type of mixer. My local Chamber has activities that are open to non-members at least three times each month.
Learn about keywords and search engine optimization, write some articles about the type of business you are helping, and soon you will be able to show the business owner that they are on page one or two of Google. By then you will have other businesses that are anxious to have you help them with their online marketing.
During this same period of time, continue to work on and grow your own Internet business. Everything you do for yourself can also be done for the small businesses, so learn as much as you can to become as skilled as possible.

Will news media ever be in touch with main street again via human interest stories?
All news stations have focused on Wall Street for years and years, with no main street human interest stories, like how are foreclosed or unemployed people coping and surviving. It's not worth my monthly cable payment anymore for the out of touch news that doesn't even hardly mention real life, except as a statistic.
Right now, it seems like newspapers are doing a better job with human interest stories than broadcast outlets. Perhaps because they have more time, better staff writers, more responsive to public demand for such stories, whatever. Anyway, one can only hope the TV stations will follow suit. In the meantime, some of the "fluffier" shows, like Good Morning America, do tend to concentrate on this type of story.

Ingredients
Marinated Seabass
200 g Seabass fillet
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coconut milk
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
Green Mango Relish
200 g green mangos, peeled and julienned
30 g carrot, peeled and julienned
30 g shallots, finely sliced
1 bird's eye chilli, finely chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lime juice
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
Marinated Seabass
Preheat the oven to 100C. Marinate seabass with turmeric, coconut milk, soy sauce and honey then bake for 10 minutes or until medium cooked. Set aside.
Green Mango Relish
To prepare dressing, whisk soy sauce, honey, lime juice and chilli in a bowl until well mixed. Add all remaining relish ingredients to the bowl with the dressing. Gently toss until evenly mixed.
To Serve
Arrange the baked seabass on the centre of plate, put the green mango relish on top of the fish, and sprinkle with coriander.

What is the RMS wattage of an old Mesa Bass 400 amplifier?
I'm currently running it with six Mesa STR-440 6L6GC's. I'd like to know its current wattage, and also what it'd be if I dropped in six Sovtek 6550WE's to replace the 6L6's. The amp runs the tubes at around 510-520 volts at the plates.
Hard to say. The 400 in the name probably refers to it's power rating but without knowing what the measurement system is you can't convert.
The web site below for the 400+ (if that's your amp) says it gives 500 watts of "transient power peaks". This usually means they are measuring instantaneous power which is much migher than RMS power.
You could send them an e-mail and see what they say.

What is Memphis Blues Music?
Memphis blues music began in the 1920s with musicians who lived in the Memphis area like Frank Stokes, Sleepy John Estes, Furry Lewis and Memphis Minnie. This style of music was most popular in vaudeville and medicine shows throughout the Memphis, Tennessee area. Beale Street was an area in Memphis where all of the main shows and music were performed. The history of Beale Street has been detailed in many books over the last ten years which has increased its popularity and appeal.
Although most blues bands in Memphis at the time were based around guitars, there were jug bands as well that were wildly popular. A jug band is a group that centers around a jug player while the other members play homemade instruments. Typically, the homemade instruments are ordinary objects that have been adapted or modified to make sound. Some examples of this are the washtub bass, washboard, spoons, stovepipe, and comb and tissue paper. When jug bands first came onto the music scene, they included mandolins or guitars that were made from the necks of discarded guitars which were then fastened on to large gourds. The gourds were made by flattening one side and then carving a sound hole into the side that was just flattened.
Sometimes, banjos were made in the same way. The actual jug that the players used was generally made from glass or stoneware. Jug players would buzz the lips of the jug from about an inch or two away from it and were able to create different pitches by changing their lip tension.
Jug bands were commonplace in Memphis blues bands for years, but after World War II, electric instruments began to be used much more often by Memphis blues musicians. Many African Americans, who had been living in the Mississippi Delta among some other impoverished areas in the south, began to leave their homes in search of more urban areas. At this time, many musicians ended up in the heart of the Memphis blues scene and the classic style of the Memphis blues sound began to change.
B.B. King, Ike Turner, Howlin Wolf and Willie Nix were some of the artists who performed in West Memphis on Beale Street at this time and were responsible for a number of the classic electric blues, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll songs. They created a lot of records in these genres for the label Sun Records. These musicians had a very strong influence on blues at the time and we can still see their impact on rock and roll music today.
