Can you use the same guitar capo and tuner on a 6 string as a bass guitar?
How are bass guitars played diffrent from a 6 string?
You can use both for bass. Atleast I've never had a problem with either. I have also used a capo unlike the guy above. I've found in certain songs I like using one so I can have open strings at certain notes and play higher on the neck. To each there own I guess.

Key of guitar when capo'd?
I have a very limited grasp of music theory of any kind. I know that the guitar, when tuned to standard A440, is in the key of C when open. However, if I were to capo up to the 5th fret and then played the chords in the key of C relative to the capo, what key would I be playing in exactly? Knowing would make it so much easier to figure out what scales would be best to solo in over a progression in that key.
If you play the C chord position while the capo is on the 5th fret you're actually playing an F chord. It's quite simple; every fret raises the pitch one half tone so five frets up is two and a half tones which corresponds to C - D - E - F.

Why do I feel like a nutcase?
I don't feel myself.
I constantly feel weird.
I'm paranoid.
I fret.
I have panic attacks.
I always feel drained.
My nerves are shot.
Is this anxiety or something else? Is this due to me not getting good rest or is it something else?
I don't know all the background but you should see the question I just posted. We're in the grips of an ungodly heatwave here in the northeast USA, I don't know where you live, but it's making me angry, depressed, I feel like I'm turning into a rabid animal!! I can't sleep good unless the room is super cool at night. Thank goodness we have an air conditioner, I sleep at least 6 to 7 hours, but during the day when it's getting hot I get angry over everything. I also have panic attacks and take meds for it. It keeps me from "being a nutcase??". But when it wears off I'm back to square one. The only time I feel "normal" is when the weather is cooler. Then I have more energy and I feel "human again?". Loud noises bother me. I hate the sound of loud cars, motorcycles etc. But I always have since I was born. Nobody has figured out what's wrong with me. I've done a lot of studying on the internet, I think I have post traumatic stress disorder. I think anyone that has witnessed or been through something really awful has it. I would say, 90% of Americans have it but don't want to admit it. Do you live in the United States or in a country where there is war and violence going on? This could be what's causing this. Have you witnessed something horrifying or traumatic, like the twin towers on Sept 11, 2001, or saw a horrible accident, fought in a war, been through surgery or in the hospital, lost somebody in the family, had a broken romance, any of these can cause these symptoms to come on. I know, I've been through it, I'm trying to deal with it, but this heatwave is really testing my patience. I'm just sympathizing with you. Do seek somebody
that can professionally help you, but this is what I've learned through living 57 years on this planet!
I hope someone will help you and help me,too. Plus the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is affecting a lot of people there, do you live near there? Any traumatic event can trigger what you are feeling right now and you are NOT ALONE! Trust me. The government doesn't want people to know a lot of stuff, but humans can sense something's not right, just like animals. I hope this helps, from an empathetic view. I KNOW exactly how you feel!! But find a psyhcologist or psychiatrist and/or a medical doctor, although I can't guarantee they always have the answers either. lol But do try and get help from them. It's a start. You probably have post traumatic stress disorder. Even the loss of a job or lifestyle can trigger it. Take care!

How and When to Use a Capo
The Capo Is a clamp which you place across your Guitar strings in the same way your finger does in a Barre Chord. It is traditionally made of Metal or Rubber that acts like an Elastic band or Clamp.
The cheapest kind of capo is essentially an elastic band attached to a strip of rubber. It's probably best to buy a few at a time because they can get stolen and mislaid, or simply wear down. The great thing is that you can carry it in your pocket all the time, and when you need to you can swiftly put it on your guitar when it is needed.
If you are reading this then you are most likely wondering how the notes are changed by a capo on the guitar. The capo raises the key you are playing in without you having to learn even more chords or to get a different arrangement of the song in another key.
Let's say you are playing a song in G with the chords G, C, and D. If you put the capo on the second fret the song would now be in the key of A with the chords A, D and E.
Essentially all your chord shapes are unchanged with the capo but if you have the capo on the second fret, the sound is a half note higher than the guitar with no the capo. So it's really just like placing a barre across the strings with your index finger except for that with the capo your index finger is now free to play notes.
Another frequent question I get about the capo is whether it is possible to barre only some of the strings. The answer is yes, you can buy capos to use on the third, fourth and fifth strings or the second, third and fourth strings. Using this kind of capo is just a different way of producing and effect like an alternate tuning.
Guitarists who are not using the capo as a way of altering key for a singer sometimes use a capo to vary the pitch of the guitar simply to provide variety in their guitar's sound. If you play a few songs with no the capo and some songs with the capo at the third fret and some with the capo at the fifth or the seventh fret your audience is not so likely to let your music fade into the background. A recognized instance of this is George Harrison's use of the capo at the seventh fret on If I Needed Someone and Here Comes The Sun.
Should I buy a flat or curved capo for a Squire Fat Strat?
I'm new to guitars and looking to buy a capo on ebay to save some money. I've found one but it says its flat and I don't know what kind I need for my Squire Fat Strat. Will this one be ok and will the little clip to any damage to the neck? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Change-Clamp-Key-Capo-4-Electric-Acoustic-Guitar-new_W0QQitemZ350325117614QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Instrument_Accessories?hash=item51910112ae
Thanks. I just ordered the cheap one from the link. I'm only just learning and reading tabs for fun and rarely come across one that requires a capo so I'll just save the couple bucks and use this one for now.
That one would work, though there's one that costs just a tiny bit more that would serve you better. It's styled like a Kyser one, so you can clip it into place with just one hand and store it on the headstock of your guitar when you're not using it. I started out using one like the capo in your link, but it was cumbersome because it took so long to clip it into place and then I'd have to put it into my pocket when I wasn't using it. After a few frustrating shows (and frustrated bandmates who grew tired of waiting for me to fish the capo from my pocket and affix it to the guitar), I invested in a clip-on one and have been using it for 15 years without incident.
