Comic book collectors: What is the best way to store comics to keep them in good condition?
I am attempting to keep them in good condition while being able to access and read them on occasion. I have them in a binder in clear plastic sleeves right now, is this the best solution?
Okay first off the binder sounds like a decent idea but I would be worried about the metal rings or something getting caught and basically bye bye comics. As for me I got to a comic book store and for about $20 I can get a 100 cardboard backings and 50 sleeves. With these the backing goes into the sleeve followed by the comic book so that it stays flat. As for the storage method I personally use an extra dresser in my room that as of right now houses over 300 comics. However if you have ever been into a comic book store the big white storage boxes are sometimes sold and are really useful for keeping them straight up and in order. The boxes usually run about $20-$30, a little expensive but worth it. Hope I helped.

Boat Maintenance: Keep it in Perfect Condition
A boat is a means of recreation, fun and pleasure. To a boating buff, there can be nothing more exciting than skimming in a boat across a protected coastal area, splashing water around. Like any other exciting recreation, boating is also a little risky. This necessitates careful boat maintenance. Unless the boat is maintained well and kept in a perfect condition, accidents may happen during boating.
Boat maintenance calls for double carefulness: the boat should be kept nice looking from outside through polishing and other such works and the engine must be taken care of well to keep it in perfect condition. Taking care of a boat from both these fronts is very important. If the boat does not look attractive, the pleasure of riding in it will be diminished. And if the engine is not taken care of well, there may be risk of accidents.
Making boat maintenance easy for all, boat accessory industry offers lots of options. There are a number of tools and kits to be used to maintain a boat properly. Epoxy, paint and varnish, refinishing materials, cleansers and polishes, glues, sail repair and battens, lubricants and anti-corrosion, sealants: there is a plethora of options available for those who want to keep their boats in good condition, both internally and externally.
A boat needs to be parked, sometimes not in a very safe place. Hence, there remains the risk of its being getting damaged. To prevent this from happening, it needs to be covered. There are a whole lot of options in boat covers. No matter whether one wants to cover the top or the bottom of the boat, there is necessary cover for him. Made with good materials and dyed in beautiful colours, boat covers come handy to protect them from all sides. Thus, boat maintenance has become not only easy but also fun.
anybody know how much you get if you trade in a PSP, perfect condition?
I live in MA, and its in perfect condition.
If you trade it in EB/gamestop, most likely you'll probably get $70 and over. Add in your other games and accessories for more credit.
For online, looks like on ebay, a used PSP is selling for $80 on average.

Finding Antique Radios That are in Prime Working Condition
As civilizations became more advanced the methods of communication changed. The predecessor to our modern radios – antique radios – allowed our parents and grandparents the ability to hear news from distant places, stories and even music.
These antique radios are all but unseen today. You can however still find a few of these antique radios in various places like garage sales, second hand dealers, antique shops, museums and old radio parts shops.
While most of these radios will not be in pristine condition, you may find a few that are in prime working condition. These might need a bit of a tune-up or replacement parts added here and there but for the most part you will find they can still deliver the goods.
As these antique radios are somewhat hard to find in mint condition you should expect to pay a fairly high price for one that is in total working mint condition. The different varieties of these old radios ensured that people in those times had a choice of radio styles to fit their budget and their home environment.
While you will see that almost all of our radios are on the compact and portable side the antique radios of yesteryear are large sized models that you could only move with the aid of movers. Even though these antique radios are quite bulky to move they are still desired pieces of history.
Now when you are looking to buy antique radios there are various items that should be looked at before you make a purchase. The first item that is important is that of the price. Even if you like how an old radio looks if you can’t afford it there is no point in looking at this radio any longer. You should also check to see if the antique radio is still in perfect to fine working order.
You may not feel that this is necessary but without testing the radio out you may have a very badly damaged radio on your hands. Once you have tested and looked at all of the factors which may prevent you from buying your old antique radio you need to have it delivered to your home. If the radio is not that big then you can see about taking it home yourself. Buying antique radios will provide you with living piece of history that you can pass down the generations.
How do you keep a vintage shirt in mint condition?
On eBay (of course) there are oh so many vintage shirts. I want to know what the best possible way is to help keep it in mint and perfect condition, allowing you to wear it and etc.
Wearing any shirt one time for 30 seconds means it is no longer in "mint and perfect" condition. The best way to keep a collector item shirt in the best condition you can is to put it into a display case, or seal it in a vacuum seal type bag but without putting a vacuum on the bag.

Becoming Aware of Your Health Condition - Stroke Prevention
The steps which need to be taken in order to prevent a stroke are not as complex as most people would like to think in fact, preventing a stroke is very easy, it all starts with good health habits. The main characteristic of a stroke is that it attacks the brain, protecting our brain could be just as easy as going out to a park and taking a walk, cooking a nice vegetable soup instead of going to a fast food place or even trying to get some help to regulate your weight, it all adds up.
Many people don't like to be told how they can improve their health in general, when it comes to strokes most people want to know which conditions they need to address first and what are the diseases which are most likely to trigger a stroke, in this case you need to address the following disorders:
Diabetes:
If you suffer from this condition you can decrease the chances of suffering from a stroke if you are able to keep your blood pressure below 130/85, you can also talk to your doctor about using drugs such as angiotensin-converting enzyme which are known to help patients who suffer from high blood pressure.
High cholesterol:
A high amount of arterial plaque is known to be a very common trigger for strokes, lowering your cholesterol by starting an effective diet or with prescription drugs can help you prevent serious complications.
Smoking:
Besides hurting your lungs, smoking is a devastating habit which increases your chances for stroke by as much as 50% to 100% compared to a normal person in other words, smokers can be twice as vulnerable of suffering from this condition. While the effects of smoking can be reversed (when it comes to stroke conditions) it does take up to five years for a person to completely the cleanse his or her body from cigarette substances which are known to trigger strokes.
There are several other conditions and spent a unique to address in order to prevent the risks of suffering from a stroke but in most cases the most effective tool is knowledge, knowledge about your own health condition and about the medical history within your family.
How much is a Gibson SG from 1980 in very good condition ( in original hardshell case ) worth?
I can't seem to get any real info online. They try to sell you the blue book. I don't need that.
I have a '95 SG Standard myself and had also looked for the same kind of info that you are. I have seen values that give a range from $900 to $1200 depending on various factors.
(i.e. all original, any damage or repair that has been fixed or needs fixed)
I bought mine with original case - no damage or repairs, great shape for $800 from a starving college student.
I guess the best advice for you to do is to HANG ONTO IT!! These guitars only seem to increase in value the older they get. Consider it an investment that you don't have to worry about what Wall St. does.
Just remember that no matter what anybody tells you - It's only worth what someone is willing to pay, bottom line.
