Guitar Amp: What is a good quality sounding guitar amp; entry level or slightly above that is around $200?
More details: The main thing I am looking for is a good sounding amp for practice and small gigs. It can be between 15 to 30 watts and must have an overdrive option with gain control. An output headphone jack is needed for practice and recording.
I have looked at Line6 Spider2 amps which looks versatile but some say the sound is too digital or tinny. I also looked at some Johnson and Fender Frontman amps but not sure so would like to get some suggestions from people who have some experience with amps. If the amp has a good sound and comes withe several effects such as reverb, echo...etc. I would be williing to pay a bit more.

Have a look at a Roland Micro Cube, I use the tiny one at around £65, but they make a 15 watt and a 30 watt. I also have used a Cube 100 for over twenty years -- approx five gigs a week with no problems -- that's what you call reliability.

I am trying to do multitrack recording on my PC. I am have difficulties. On my mixer, the Behriner UB1622FX Pro I get a fitting signal from the monitor headphones. Okay. I have a Sony surround system next to the video/dvd player and all concerned sof fun stuff. WELL, when Dish Network installed their stuff, the idiot installer had no concept how to put the cables on the hindmost of the machine so I could use it adjectives together with my surround nouns and video/dvd player. SO, now I can monitor dish but only through the TV and lacking surround sound, and I can view a video or DVD with surround nouns but can't use the remote because it's only programmed for the TV. Conceptually, should you be able to output composite video and audio (L/R) from a DVD player into an a/v heir, and only output HDMI from the heir to the HDMI input on the tv? I recently purchased the Denon 4308ci as my AV beneficiary. I have a Sony XBR5 as my tv/monitor. When I hold HDMI OUT on the DVD player connected to DVD HDMI IN on the receiver, and HDMI OUT from the Receiver to HDMI IN on the tv, I successfully take both video and audio on the tv. However, when I hook up composite video OUT and audio (L/R) OUT from the DVD player to composite video IN and audio (L/R) IN on the receiver, while still maintain the HDMI connection from the beneficiary to the tv, I get video merely, but NO audio/sound on the tv. Am I doing something wrong? Or could this be a bug with the Denon? I own tried hooking up 3 different components (2 DVD players and a Tivo) to the AV receiver contained by this way.. but no audio... surrounded by each skin.

Well i have tried so copious mkv to avi converters but it doesnt work, see i have a Hight defination rip video profile which i want to convert into avi (Divx or Xvid) file as my portible DVD player supports Avi both Xvid or Divx formats, however it dont support mkv files. The problem is that the Circuit isn't working - I get no video through it. I enjoy checked and it's wired up right, there's no shorts. When pluged into an S-video source I measure roughly 2.5v DC coming all the style through to the RCA plug. Any ideas on why it's given up the ghost? TIA

Before you make a decision on buying Behringer pedals, check out the reviews on Harmony-Central. Or better yet, try before you buy. So far, the VT-999 Vintage Tube Monster has gotten alot of praise from what I've read so far.
Secondly, check out www.craigslist.org and then, go to your state & city closest to you. There are people out there who are looking to sell anything, even dirt cheap . Not too long ago, I ended up scoring on a used Voodoo Lab Micro-Vibe pedal for $60.00 ($149.99 brand new on Musician's Friend).
Lastly, check out www.buildyourownclone.com. These are pedal kits that are based on the pedals of the past from the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face, The MXR Phase 90, The Ibanez Tube Screamer, the Vox/Dunlop Wah Wah/Crybaby to the DOD 250. is there always a delay on digital cameras btwn time shutter is pushed & photo taken?
Seems digital cameras have a delayed reaction taking a photo from time I push shutter til a second later when photo is actually taken. My camera is on fine setting & has 10 megapixels. (Canon sureshot). How is flash involved with this? Camera is less than a year old.
By way of explaining what's really going on. All automatic cameras, which digital cameras are, have what's called shutter lag.
This lag time allows the camera to focus and expose. This procedure, though very fast, isn't instant, can't and won't happen. Without this time all your photos would be out of focus (fuzzy) and either over or under exposed.
Get the drift? perhaps some reading on how automatic cameras work would be in order.
