Guitar Pick Help Please?
i am going to buy some dunlop tortex picks and not sure about the thickness. i also use fender medium picks and want to know how thick the fender medium picks are because thats what size i would like to have in the dunlop picks.
tortex picks come in different sizes and i was debating between .50 and .60 which is closer to fender medium
Like these?

I'd say .73 mm (yellow) is around medium. If you look at the thickness, .73 mm is around the middle. I use those and they last longer than Fenders.

Is Jim Dunlop Dimebag Crybaby From Hell Wah-wah pedal good?
im trying to get that pedal and before i buy it i wanna know more about it
does it make distortion sound and wah-wah sound?
or does it only have wah-wah sound?
its a good choice,it dosen t have a distortion,it has a boost switch and a frequency selector so you can decide which frequencies your gonna affect.its a solid pedal and it looks cool.
and personally id never want my distortion pedal to be be in my wah pedal, dont forget to put the wah first in you chain of effects..

How to I get all of the grime off of my guitars fretboard?
I was going to restring my electric guitar and once i took the strings off i realized that I've neglected to clean it and theres a buildup of dirt and stuff on my fretboard. I have the dunlop cleaning stuff like the fretboard cleaner but it seems like its a little too caked on for that to work. sooo would it be okay to use like sandpaper or something a little more abrasive, or would that hurt the guitar?
http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ernie-Ball-Wonder-Wipes-Fretboard-Conditioner-Wipe?sku=421149
I promise you that this will work. I had an acoustic guitar (it was my first guitar) that I owned for eight years and never cleaned the fretboard. Last year, when I was changing the strings, I noticed how grimy the fretboard was and decided to do something about it. Tried mild soap and water, nothing. Went to the music store and bought those wipes, and helped slightly
then, i got a great idea. gently rub the wipes into the grime on the fretboard to soak it in. then use a hard bristle tooth brush to get the bulk off. continue alternating the conditioner and the brushing and I guarantee that if it is truly grime and not something else, it will go away.

Which type of guitar pick should I use? (Beginner)?
I am starting to learn how to play the guitar (acoustic). I am looking into what type of pick I should use. I heard light/thin picks are good for strumming, medium is the best of both worlds, and heavy are for picking. Even then, there are many different materials as well.
I was thinking about buying a 28 guitar pick assortment from Dunlop.

thoughts?
I start all students on the same thing - a "heavy" (1 mm) nylon Dunlop pick. No pro players switch picks for different tasks, they adjust their grip and so forth so there is more "give".
Ideally - my belief is that the pick itself should not "give" at all - that's all wasted energy that you can't really control . You want to be able to control the energy you're putting into striking the strings 100%, and you do that by holding the pick so it can move slightly as-necessary.
Wasted picking energy means more fatigue, more mistakes, sloppier picking, less speed, etc. Many instructors believe that the best picks have no "give" whatsoever - like stone picks or glass picks. I like the nylon Dunlops 1.0 MM because they're not slippery - they sound great, they're inexpensive.

What Wah-wah pedal should I get?
I've been using a classic dunlop crybaby but I don't like it. It creates to much noise and is squaky. I'm wondering what other pedal I should get. Is their a better dunlop wah or are vox wah's good? I wanna sound like John Frusciante and Jimi Hendrix.
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dunlop-Crybaby-Classic-Fasel-Inductor-Wah-Pedal?sku=151026
Buy a Real McCoy (a.k.a. RMC) by Geoffrey Teese Wah. If you really like that "holy grail" classic wah tone, I suggest the RMC-4 better known as the "Picture Wah" based on the original Vox Clyde McCoy that as made in Italy during the 60's. It's a bit Pricey though ($200) for a wah without any trim pots but it's worth it. It has true bypass and well, it's just amazing I guess. You can also check out other models of RMC (which are pricier. I would also recommend the Budda Bud-Wah. It also is a great wah pedal.
When it comes to a squeaky wah, all pot-based wah's (what I mean is wah's utilizing potentiometers for the rocker sweep) will become creaky in the end. The solution for this is by replacing the potentiometer. You can ask the dealer/manufacturer for this.
If you don't want to think about replacing the pot's then I suggest you buy an optical wah like Morley, but the sound they produce are kind of subjective. Some love 'em while others don't.
