i want sensor for sensing the wind direction and wind velocity and converts in to an electric signal?
i am karthick final year B.E student. i have to do project in wind turbine generator. my project is mainly concerned to "the wind turbine generator senses the greater wind direction and turn that side then the vanes are rotated(i.e YAW SYSTEM). now i have so many doubts sir. that is which sensor is used to sense the wind direction and turn and converts in to to electric signal. Because we have planned to control our project in PLC& SCADA.

Fret buzz on 6th string Fender Starcaster (strat)?
so i just recently got a fender starcaster which is basically like a strat. i noticed that the sixth string had a really annoying fret buzz and i tried adjusting the bridge(?) with the small allen wrench and i think i made it even worse. What do i do to get rid of it? and ya i know, i need to stop messing with the bridge and i have, but im not taking it to guitar center or sam ash for now.
It could be two things:
1. Your action is too low:
Adjust the string height so that it's as low as it can go, but so there is little to no fret buzz at all. You most likely won't get rid of all the fret buzz.
2. Truss rod adjustment:
Fret the Low E string on the first fret, and then at the same time fret the Low E string on the fret where the neck and body meet. Now take a look at the middle frets (7th-9th). If the string lays on the fretwire, your neck has to much backbow and you will have to turn the truss rod counter- clockwise. If the string is more than a credit cards thickness up from the wire, your truss rod is too loose and as such will have to turn your truss rod clockwise. Turn the truss rod a quarter (15 minutes on a clock) each time, and check what happened to the string. You're aiming for a credit card's thickness. Don't turn it more then 15 minutes each time, and if you feel like you're forcing it, stop. You can seriously wreck your guitar.

nature of current applied to medical ultrasound piezo electric crystals ?
I am trying to write up a talk for my fellow medical colleagues. I am aware that medical ultrasound devices use piezo electric crystals to generate the Ultra sound. I would like to know the nature of the current applied. Is it AC current or DC current that it pulsed on and off. I need to get this right in order not to mislead many who will attend lecture. Thank you.
It is a time-varying voltage that is applied to the piezoelectric crystals. I don't know the exact waveform that is applied; it may be a sinusoidal voltage or it may be a square wave. The shape of the wave (ie, waveform) isn't important. What is important is that if you want to produce, for example, a sound wave at 100K Hertz you must have a time-varying voltage that varies at 100K Hertz.

Ibanez AEL10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar?
I have a Ibanez AEL10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar and i'm new at playing the guitar i been playing the violin for two yrs so it can help with the guitar i got it 4 x-mas my question is that what strings to i need when they pop or something (how can i tell iwhen i have to changge them)? What are capos are they like mutes ?(what are thye use for and if i use one what would be a good one for it?)and Cleaners and Polish ?And straps and picks? And what are peg winder?
How often you change strings depends on how much you play. A professional guitarist will need to change strings once or twice a week. A casual player can usually go a couple of months on one set.
You need to use steel strings (actually, you need a type called phospor-bronze). I like to use D'Addario, but there are other good brands as well. A peg winder fits over the knob of a tuning peg, and allows you to turn it a lot faster. I've never used one, but I've got friends who like them. Like everything else, it comes down to what you prefer.
A capo is a clamp-like device used to change the key of the guitar's tuning. It fits over the fretboard, and clamps down on the strings. For example, place it just above the second fret to raise the tuning two semi-tones, i.e, instead of E-A-D-G-B-e, the guitar would now be tuned to F#-B-E-A-C#-f#.
IMHO, you don't need a cleaner or polish. Just use a soft, lint free cloth to wipe down the guitar's body and neck after playing. A strap is almost a mandatory accessory, but you really only need a basic one; should cost around $10 or so. (unless you REALLY have your heart set on that Heavy Metal death's head skull design. Only kidding.) Picks are also really cheap. In my opinion, nylon works best for acoustic playing. For a couple of dollars, you can get a pack of several picks. For a starter, can a pack with a variety of thicknesses, then try them all and decide which you like best.
