Momo Shift Knobs Vs. Shutt Shift Knobs
MOMO has long held the title of the worlds best interior auto accessories, but there is some competition coming from SHUTT. MOMO shift knobs are very popular worldwide and can be found in all types of rides. SHUTT is very popular in South America and has outsold MOMO, SPARCO, and GRANT for many years, there business started in 1993 and has recently come to the US market in the last two years. Both MOMO and SHUTT are of the highest quality auto accessories only using the best materials in their designs. It seems that the only area the two companies don’t agree is price, with SHUTT consistently coming in around 20% less.
SHUTT was at SEMA 2008 and had a variety of gear shift knobs available for viewing. Made from such materials as leather, carbon fiber, aluminum, chromed details and quality laser imprinted logos. The shifter knobs were very attractive and had a great feel to them…very comfortable. The leather was thick and durable, as it was in all the products. The shift knobs attach to your current shifter lever by way of set screws set around the base usually hidden behind a screw on base…function incorporated into the fashion. SHUTT has several leather shifter boots to go along with your new shift knob, that way you can complete the look.
You may have seen SHUTT ads in some auto mags like import tuner, car stereo tuning, full power and more. And I am sure you will see more in the future, SHUTT will only grow as word gets out that there is another top quality brand out there. SHUTT added a car audio line that will rock your world, 12 inch subwoofers that come in various watts and ohms, a component set and two different lines of amps, one of which is digital.
Overall both companies have very high quality parts, very unique designs, new models coming out every season…so why choose SHUTT over the well known MOMO? Well for one Shutt has a lifetime warranty, I could not gather any info online about the MOMO warranty. SHUTT prices were 20% less overall and in this economy everyone wants to get a quality product at a lower price. MOMO products are the established company and that alone can sway some buyers. Although there is something to be said about a company that will jump up and give serious competition to MOMO, that might sway younger car enthusiast to give SHUTT a try.
After much research I found that Shutt was not that easily located here in the US yet, I called several accessory shops nearby and most had not even heard of the brand yet. The only place that looks reputable is
, other than that a few other online sites and that’s it right now. Of course the manufacturers sites are nice but they do not allow any purchases. So you can call and check your local shops but you will probably be back online so remember that site name.
can you put guitar knobs on an amp ?
i love modding my amp little by little. i paint certain parts and change the fabrics. i want to know if it is possible to put guitar knobs on an amp. i cant try it with my knobs because they are stuck

By all means do so. That won't change the quality of the sound or whatever. Your knobs are probably not stucl. What happens, sometimes their is a tiny little screw holding the knob in place. Go to a music store and buy a few. They are not expensive...And if you get tired of them, put them on your guitar

Muscle Building and Fitness Trumps Simple Weight Loss
Whether you are a man or a woman, it's important to your general health and well being that you focus upon muscle building and fitness. Many people that I speak with indicate that they would really like to build muscle and improve their fitness, but are fearful of lifting weights because they don't want to bulk up and look like bodybuilders. They assume that this added muscle will cause them to weigh more. This is not the case.
In order to be fit and remain fit, you must build muscle fitness. The erroneous thinking that you will bulk up like a professional bodybuilder is ludicrous, and shows a profound ignorance as to just how much dedication and effort go into achieving that bodybuilder's look. Those muscles don't appear after a few bench presses. It takes years and focus to build the muscle groups that define the bodybuilder.
One myth about bodybuilding and fitness that would be humorous is it weren't so ludicrous, is that muscle weighs more that fat. Obviously, a pound is a pound whether it's fat or muscle. The difference between the two is that one pound of muscle takes up significantly less volume that a pound of fat. Muscle is more dense. If you have ten pounds of new muscle on your body, you'll have less of an increase in body size than you would with ten pounds of new fat. Fat takes more space.
Some people, who have been trying to build muscle fitness and thin up their bodies, have actually stopped exercising when they found that there was a weight gain associated with their exercising, because of the increased muscle mass. They saw the gain in weight as a problem that had to be lost. They did not understand that their exercising had removed much of their unhealthy body fat and replaced it with beneficial muscle, and had also left them more thin and trim than they had been before. Don't rush into cardio exercises to burn off the added weight from weight training, it's good weight without extra body fat.
It's crucial that you focus upon body building and fitness rather than on simple weight loss. If you focus only upon losing weight, simply stop eating. You'll lose weight, but you'll also lose muscle mass. You'll become a very thin, weak, unhealthy person, who may look good for a while, but will not be physically fit. You'd be far better off to practice weight training to replace the weight of your excess body fat with an equivalent weight of muscle. You'll maintain your desired weight, gain muscle mass, and be a physically fit specimen, which is what is important.
If you have carefully read the above, and understand the mechanism by which body fat is replaced by muscle, you can readily see why so many dieters, who are seeking only weight loss, end up being disappointed. They seldom lose the weight that is bothering them, and when they do lose weight it is often not from the areas of their bodies that they had wished it to be.
If you wish to be a healthy person with a fit body, it's important that you build muscle fitness. Weighing less is only part of the battle, weighing the same with muscle instead of fat should be the goal. You'll still get what you want, muscle building and fitness, and a thinner body. I will be a healthier and fit body with the body reshaped by muscle in a manner that could never be achieved by simple weight loss.

I have a 55 gallon tank with one 3.5 inch JD. How many more JDs and/or convicts can i add?
Jack Dempsies grow to be 6-10 inches and require 55 gallons each. You are at your limit here. You would need a much larger tank for more Jack Dempsies.

Retractable Banner Stands Display Banners with Ease

Point of Sale Display Stand For DVD????
MAking one in gcse graphics and I want to have two hand holding the dvd. What could the hands be made from and how could i make one?
Get a pair of thick rubber gloves (like the ones people sometimes use to wash dishes). Fill them with plaster mix from any DIY store. Then get a metal coat hanger or some strong, but bendable, metal wire. When the plaster has almost set, insert the wire and allow the plaster to harden. At this stage you could remove the glove and paint, or leave the gloves on. You can then bend the wire into the desired shape and even attach to a base board so the hand appear to be floating. The wire should be strong enough to hols the hands but still be a bit springy so should look like they are moving slightly.
Depending on what the DVD is about you might want to setup the hands slightly differently. For example, if the DVD was a horror DVD you could snap a couple of fingers and paint to make it look like it is bleeding. If it is a Sci-Fi DVD you could scratch the surface of the plaster then paint to make it look like an aliens pair of hands.
Possiblities are endless! But if you do decide to do this you need to make sure the plaster mix is runny enough to get into the very bottom of all the fingers in the gloves. Make sure you have no air bubbles and be prepared to make a mistake the first time and have to start again. When inserting the wire, make a loop on the end you are inserting to ensure it doesn't simple fall back out once the plaster has set.
