How can i write about the speed of light in a essay?
In my science class for the final i have to write an essay about something we learned this year.So i picked the speed of light. But what 3 topics should i choose to use in the essay?

1. the properties of light, the physics of why we will never be able to travel near the speed of light
2. try to put the "speed" of light in relatively easy to understand analogies. I mean, how can you wrap your mind around 186,000 miles per second?!
3. einstein's theory of relativity also includes speed of light and time. try explaining how in theory, time slows down the faster you can go. like a story where a person in a spaceship that can travel near the speed of light, travels for "10 years" according to the spaceship's calculation, comes back to Earth and finds out that the date is 50 years from when he left......

Gold and silver reflective fabric?
Hi,
I want to make a reflector - something photographers use to shine light on their subjects.
For this I need some lightweight gold and silver shiny material (ideally the gold will have black on the reverse and the silver will have white on the reverse).
Does anyone know where I can source this material please?

Liquid Lame (pronounced La-May) is shiny. Call a fabric store near you. Tell them what you need and see if they have anything that might work. And be sure and ask if they carry Lame. They may have something even better. Check out these sites to see what it looks like and if you think it might work for your project. Also ask about gold and silver metallic spandex.

it depends on what kind of music you like if you are in to rock the flying V is always a show stopper. My personal favorite is the Gibson thunderbird. i am a bassist and the thunderbird bass is extremely light so i would say that their regular guitar would be fairly light as well. If you want people to take notice of what you are playing you could always get just a regular righty guitar and take it to a music store and they can set it up lefty for you. THat always looks neat kinda like the whole jimmy thing.

Tension Headache - A Common Nuisance
Headaches can be a nuisance. In addition to being really painful, headaches can actually prevent you from thinking straight and keep you from doing your daily chores.
Headaches can occur two or more times a week and may even last for several months. And because, it can severely affect work attitude, companies lose millions of dollars from employees who fail to meet their production capabilities.
The most common type of headache, the tension headache, involves mild to moderate pain in the head area. Sometimes, the pain may even reach the scalp, the temples and the neck, often accompanied by tightness in the muscles of these body parts.
Unlike migraine headaches, which may occur in a localized area and in a longer duration, tension headaches are less severe and less long lasting. It however occurs more frequently and with no warning signs. People suffering from tension headaches will often feel tightness in their heads. These headaches are often exacerbated by physical and environmental factors such as noise, heat, light and other sensorial triggers.
Tension headaches can occur to anybody. Whatever your gender is, no matter how old you are, you can have one of those debilitating headaches. Still, these are most common in teens and adults as these are the stages where there is much stress and physical changes in the body.
There is a variety of reason why tension headaches occur. Specialists believe that the headaches happen when the muscles in the neck, head and scalp contract or are constricted. One cause of this is dislocation of the muscle area such as when a person spends hours not moving their heads or putting the head at an awkward angle.
Other possible causes of frequent headaches are stress, anxiety and even depressive conditions. Activities such as the use of the computers or the microscope can also contribute as fatigue in the eyes can also cause pain in the head. Another reason for headaches is coldness or extremely low temperature that the person is not used to. Alcohol abuse, excessive smoking, excessive drinking of caffeine, and overexertion can also cause headaches.
Other possible reasons are medical-related such as nasal congestion, colds, flu, and sinusitis. It is also possible that headaches may be a manifestation of underlying problems in the brain such as lesions and constriction in the veins. It is important that you consult with a doctor in case you feel that your headache is becoming worse.

How To String Lights on A Christmas Tree
The Holiday season is the best time of year, decorating my home and the Christmas Tree. So how do you string lights on a Christmas Tree? On we go to the fine art of stringing Christmas Lights on our Trees....and yes, it can be considered an art. And to some a fine art.
Make sure that before you begin, to have everything you need on hand. This will eliminate not having something you need while you are the ladder. So we will begin with the ladder, make sure you have a sturdy step ladder or small ladder handy. You will need this while you are wrapping the upper branches, even with a small tree, being on a ladder makes stringing your lights much easier.
You will obviously need your lights, an extension cord if the socket is not close or a step on off/on switch cord, makes lighting your tree easier and some patience.
Would you be surprised to know that it is recommended that you start stringing your Christmas Tree lights at the bottom? We had always started at the top. Reason being...you can follow the electrical outlet with the string of lights and not have too much or too little left over from stringing from the top. Never thought of it that way before. You will also be able to start with the correct male/female connections, ever string lights and end up with two female ends?
When decorating your Christmas Tree, always start with the lights. The lights are first thing that should be put on before garland or ornaments. Before you start, make sure that the lights are in working order, nothing worse than putting the lights on the tree and half the strand is not working.
As you string your lights use a weaving motion one light under a branch and the next light over, under and over. Tuck the cord into the branches so the cord does not show.
Estimate your space as you work your lights into the branches, stagger and space your rows so that there are no bare spots or clumps of lights together. Be especially careful not to clump the lights together at the top of the tree. The top of the tree should be the showplace for your topper.
If you decide you need more lights on your Christmas Tree, use additional strands and repeat the process of weaving from the top of the tree to the bottom.
Not sure how many lights you need, a quick rule of thumb is to take the height of your tree and times by 10. For example, a six foot tree would approximately 60 feet...I know I go way overboard on the amount of lights on my tree but just can't help it.
Now that you have finished stringing and are satisfied with the lights on your Christmas Tree, it is time to decorate your decorate your tree with ornaments, garland and whatever tickles your fancy....
How can I get a proximity tester to checkout a xmas light string here in the UK?
I have tried Maplins, Argos, other stores & Electiricals in the UK all without success.. Do they not make them here...and if not why not???? Cos they do in the good old USof A
I have three different types, of tester, some are true proximity and some are both continuity and proximity. They cost between three and six pounds, commercial grade can cost 19 pounds. Try sending an english technical person to shop for you, I would have one in your hands in 30 mins. Few people would use a proximity detector, a multimeter is cheap and simple. I know how you would use it a detector, and you would need to switch live and neutral to get sensible results. There are legal consequences to giving bad advice, this may be why staff are not more helpfull.
