is it worth it to buy a travel guitar, what brand do you suggest?
i travel quite often, after browsing around i saw that there are some travel guitars out there live the martin backpacker and the washburn rover. but is it worth it to buy one?
The actual Traveler brand are really awesome instruments. I almost got a job at one of their factories. Everything is done by hand by a small team of about 3-4 guys at each location.
I would recommend one of them. They're nifty, lightweight, and very resilient. They're more intended for people who go camping/hiking/backpacking often, but if you live out of a suitcase for a couple months a year, it may serve you well that way too.

A Vital Defensive Driving Technique – Signal Intent!

Getting lost results not only in confusing yourself, but also in confusing others as you make sudden or false moves trying to find your destination. Driving around aimlessly forms no part of defensive driving techniques.
Always Signal
As part of driving defensively, it is a good habit to always signal your intent, particularly when making lane changes or turns. Even on a an apparently lonely road at night it is good practice to signal your intent.
Slowing Down
A key aspect of defensive driving techniques is slowing down or stopping. You can warn following drivers of your intent to slow down or stop by tapping the brake pedal once or twice to flash your brake lights. The flash of the brake lights will alert following drivers to what you intend and this is particularly important if a following driver is approaching quickly.

Being predictable is not only part of your armoury of defensive driving techniques, but also enables other drivers to know what you are doing. . What made this guitar store clerk freak out?
When I go to acoustic guitar stores, I bring my portable mp3 recorder and record the sound of the guitars, so I can bring it home and compare the sounds, and see which one really sounds the best. Well, I brought my little gadget to one particular store, and they just about had a heart attack...they said they had never seen anyone do that and they were totally freaked out. They practically threw me out of the place. What's up with that?
Their reaction was just ridiculous it seems to me that they know they sell some horrible equipment and don't want you to compare anything just buy the merchandise and go home and be disappointed how dare you try to get the best quality out of what your purchase!
They were stupid don't go back there!
