Question about the Deluxe Reverb Amp?
I recently got this amp and played a gig outside. It was cold. When I had the tube screamer on it sounded amazing. When I played clean it was very distorted. I was only playing at 4 on the amp and 2 on my les paul. I don't think it should have broken up that early but it did and it was very distorted. Did I blow a tube? Was it to cold for the amp? Is this where it normally breaks up and why so much? Thanks.
I've only played vintage Deluxe Reverbs but I assume that the re-issues are similar. They're great amps and should give you a crisp clean tone up to around 5-6 on the volume. (with your guitar up full) After that they start to break up a little, but in a desirable way. The distortion you're describing isn't normal for the Deluxe Reverb.
Outside gigs can do weird things to amps. If you had a long extension cord or too many amps on one line, your amp may not have been able to draw enough power to operate properly. I've had this same thing happen. Your problem could be a tube, but I doubt that you damaged it by playing in the cold. If it wasn't too cold for you to play, it wasn't too cold for the amp. If your amp was working properly before the gig, my first guess would be low current. You can check this easily by trying it inside where you know the power supply is good. If the amp is still misbehaving, have a tech check it out.

Basic Guide To Fishing Rod Holders
Fishing is a sport designed for relaxation. It is where fish lovers pride themselves of the fish caught while celebrating it with friends and family.
The rod holder is a fishing tool that allows fishermen to multi-task easily. It was invented because fishing requires the use of both hands in the whole process of luring, hook clearing and removing the fish from the hooks. With all these tasks, letting go of the pole is difficult. The fishing rod holder was intended for anglers to be able to make use of both hands.
The first design of fishing rod holders had two parts. The first is a pole-binding device with a strap placed on the railing to tie up to the fishing pole. The second part is a Velcro strap that could be tied on your limb, arms or waist.
The first designs needed improvement because when the straps were placed on the waist, it is wedged into anything you hit. Therefore, a new design of rod holder was invented which has four parts, two pole clips and two straps.
Depending on what fishing position you are in, the short strap is used to be wrapped around your wrist or forearm and the long strap is wrapped around your ankle or leg.
There are also rod holders which come with a remedial solution for seasickness. This curative fishing rod is capable of providing the user with an acupressure stimulator. Providing that the strap of the holder be worn all throughout the trip, it would remain efficient since the pressure is exerted continuously.
The rod holder is best for fly-fishing. Fly fishing is done in locations with rocky rivers and it is impossible to use your other hand for any purpose other than the fishing tasks. Because of the clips wrapped around your lower leg, you have a choice of putting the rear of the fishing pole into the clip so that no water could go inside it.
The upper pole clips could rotate to 360 degrees. It allows the user to do any movement since the pole is more flexible. The fishing rod holder could be used in any location whether in boats, on land, or at the dock. It prevents the fishing rod to slip from your hands and it allows you to release the rod easily.
The best fishing rod holders are those done homemade. However, many fishing stores offer high quality rod holders that would best suit your kind of fishing.
Whats the best way to hook up an ipod on a jetski without killing the battery?
i'd like to wire in 2 speakers in the mirror holders , but i'm concerned about killing the battery, so whats the best way to set up it up, small amp??? for the speakers (its a 2004 seado gti)
that's cool, but i don't think that's the best idea. you might get the ipod wet. if you do tho, there's a waterproof case out there for mp3 players. other than that, i dunno how.

If u know ur guitars (electric)...plz answer thnx a ton ?
k lemme make it short...im buying a new amp for myself
1. fender twin reverb
2. fender hotrod deluxe (or blues)
i know the hotrod is more versitile cuz its hot and better distorted than the twin BUT my friend (whos plays a lot of guitar) told me that fender's stock effects is very ...average
SO if i wanted distrotion i could just get pedals for the twin instead of stock hotrod effects
ps. i play mostly rock, blues, pop, jazz
thnx for ur time

Marks Guitar Exchange Chula Vista
So that's why I suggest that you have your guitar properly set-up by a 'guitar tech' in your area.
What this really means is...your guitar will be as 'playable' as it can be. A set-up job is something that any guitar-tech at your local music store will be able to do for a nominal expense (usually less than $50.) A typical set-up job includes:
Play EXISTING riffs and patterns with speed and accuracy click here
1. Adjusting the Truss Rod. The truss rod is the metal reinforcement that runs length of the guitar's neck (inside the neck.) It needs routine adjustment to make the action (the distance between the strings and the frets) as low as possible without buzzing.
This rod adjusts the 'bend' in the neck forward or backward and should only be adjusted by someone who is experienced. Just the right amount of tension and your guitar plays 'like butter.' Too much, and your guitar ends up in splinters at your feet!
2. Adjusting the Bridge and the Nut. The bridge (by the tail piece) and nut (by the tuning pegs) are the two places that the strings make contact with the guitar. Sometimes these need to be filed or sanded down to get the proper action on a guitar. A good tech will check this and make adjustments as needed.
On some guitars (mostly electrics), the bridge will be adjustable using tools and your tech will know how to do it.
3. Changing the Strings. Along with all the adjustments, a set-up will include a new set of strings, properly stretched out and ready to play.
When all is said and done, a proper set-up job will make your guitar as easy to play as possible, so that you can get back to making music.

What should I do if the guitar I bought doesn't have a truss rod?
Just bought a vintage 1950's airline acoustic, doesn't have a truss rod, what should I do? I didn't know it was a bad thing, but i just figured out it would warp the guitar without it!
Go to a guitar shop. They can straighten it out, and make sure you follow what they tell you, because there is a special way to maintain these guitars. One is to hang store it, not always, but sometimes. Another is to keep it in a non humid, and also temp regulated, room enviroment. Don't stress too much. If it is a vintage, it does have the chance of warping, but they used different type of wood, sometimes bolsa. The are tighter and more sturdier, and may deal with the lack of the truss rod better. Definitely go to a GOOD guitar shop. The best that I have ever seen was Ed Roman, the best that there is. He can even, not recommended, probable place a truss rod in it for you. Here is his link. I worked with him before, he is the best there is. He always worked his magic on my guitars and my people.
