they are both equally crappy. You can always buy new pickups. If you're just starting out it doesn't matter. Get the one you can afford.

Is Fender Squier STRAT Affinity a good Electric guitar?
I want to know that how good is a Fender Squier STRAT (Affinity) ?
I mean that is it worth its price. And how good are its pickups and all?
And i also have a MARSHAL Amp.
I am just a level 2 Guitarist so i wanted to know all this.

If I were you, I would get a cheaper Fender Strat, if you wanted to get a Strat. Squier isn't really a brand made for even level 2 guitarists, but more of a beginner's guitar. I would say that it would be a good guitar for a younger kid who was just starting to play electric guitar, to decide if he wanted to keep on playing, but if you're serious about it, and you think that you'd keep on playing guitar for a while, or for the rest of your life - then i'd get a much cheaper Fender Strat if you're on a lower budget.

What is better a Starcaster or Squier Strat?
I am making my own custom guitar but am on a cheap budget and came across these two guitars. I want to know which one is better though before I think about buying. I plan on fixing either one up to a really good guitar but I need to know which one is the better of the two so it will cost me less time. Thank you in advance.
The Squier is definitely the better of the two. Starcasters are ultra low-budget guitars, so most of the parts are chosen strictly on the basis of cheapness. As a result, the necks tend to bow and the intonation is pretty horrible. But Squiers are unusually sturdy for the price.
There's a great website where I buy parts (bridges, pickups, etc.) when I'm building a guitar or modifying one. The prices are really low, but I'm completely impressed with the merchandise. If you wanted to build a guitar from the ground up, you could find everything you'd need there, including really inexpensive finished bodies and necks. Here's a link, in case you're interested:

Whats the Difference between Fender Affinity Series J Bass and the Fender Affinity Series P Bass?
Im looking for my first bass and i was thinking between these two. I will mostly play classic rock and hardcore rock.

Well to start off...ones a jazz bass and ones a P-bass...they have different pickups and usually different neck shapes...but the low end squires probably have the same neck.
P-basses are a little more boingy and round in tone while a jazz bass has alot of attack and better highs...if yer looking to play hardcore i would definately go for a jazz bass.
Also DO NOT use ernie ball strings on it....just trust me on this one...
