Hardcore. personally i would go with the PAF's all around. I have these in one of my Les Pauls. and another option is EMG's they are my favorites in my LP custom and one of my Strats Hope this helps. Let me know what you come up with ben

would it be good to replace the bridge pickup on my telecaster with a mini-humbucker?
Like everything else in music, it's a matter of personal taste.
I would not do it as 1) replacing the bridge pick up with a humbucker is not true to a telecaster's sound and2) I like single-coil pick-ups. I like that they are "alive" and that one must learn to control the noise.

Fender Squier tone/volume knobs?
I bought a used Fender Squier and the tone/volume knobs need to be cleaned. I'm just not entirely sure how to get them off to clean them. Do I have to take the pickguard off, or do they just pop off?

For the strat type guitar, they pop off.

For the telecaster type -- I think they pop off. Now, I have to go home and look to see for sure, or if there is a set-screw. Or, I might be thinking of my bass, too.

Where can I buy guitar tone and volume pots?
I might replace the pots on my les paul because a pickup im going to be putting in sounds a bit dark, so i want to put 500k pots to make it cut through and stay clear. Where can i buy pots? can you get them at a music store like Long and mcquade?
I just replaced a worn 500k volume pot in my guitar and found a replacement at my local music shop. Volume pots are quite common, and you can use a pot from an electronics store like Radio Shack or a music shop. Long and Mcquades website only lists 25k pots, which is surprising. If you have one located near you. you should give them a call....they may have pots that aren't listed online. If you can't find one locally, you can order one online:
