Important Considerations When Purchasing Fender Flares
Are you an avid off-road fan? If you are then, you, along with all the others like you can understand how beneficial it is for an off-road vehicle to have auto accessories like fender flares.
Still, if you are not that enthusiastic about off-road driving and have not even ventured into the edges of the pavement roads but yearning for your truck to have that certain edgy and rugged appearance, then you should definitely take an interest in picking out fender flare kits.
Fender flares are impressive exterior auto accessories for your vehicle. They mount to your vehicle's exterior wheel wells, though the actual mount is inside it. The overall result is an extension and expansion to the size of the fenders.
Basically, fender flares are useful for protecting the side area of your truck from the rocks, sticks, mud and other forms of debris that could damage its paint job in a matter of seconds or even cause dents that would destroy the clean bodylines of your truck. Fender flare kits also beefs up your truck pretty well, making it more rugged in appearance - a clear expression of masculinity or muscularity.
Are you already set to buy fender flare kits for your vehicle? Hold on! The market offers several options, which you must understand first before you start investing on a set of fender flares.
1. Make sure that you find the right set - it is important that you choose the right set, instead of the most expensive or the trendiest. Choosing a set of fender flare kits would depend on your vehicle. If you are buying for your Jeep, then you need a different type from those who are buying for their trucks. Make a point to get one that would fit your vehicle's make and model.
2. Give ample consideration to the construction material of the fender flares you are buying - while most kits are made of plastic, they still vary. There is polyurethane and ABS. Whatever plastic material they are made of, though make sure that you get a set that is UV resistant or UV stable since UV is the worst enemy of plastic material.
3. Size matters - yes indeed, even in picking out your fender flares. It is a consideration of major importance. If your only goal is to improve your vehicle's appearance cosmetically, they whatever size you feel like may be great. However, if your foremost purpose is actually for protection then pick out a size that would make the flares extend far past lip of your actual fender.
4. Color considerations - most types of fender flare kits are black. Nevertheless, most companies manufacturing them already provide paintable ones. You can also order available sets with OEM colors. Unless you intend to have black fender flares, make sure that when you buy, choose a set that specifically states it can be painted.
Finding the most appropriate set of fender flares for your specific vehicle can be easy enough with the proper knowledge of the options available in the market for you. There are those that are purely for cosmetic improvements and those that are reliable in providing protection especially on off-road areas. Before deciding on making a purchase, always do a mental review and make sure that your choice set of this auto accessory perfectly matches your list of wants and needs.
Kay Zetkin writes information about everything on auto parts, fender flares, particularly Bushwacker fender flares and 4 wheels.
Will a fender pickguard fit a first act guitar?
I am wanting to customize my first guitar, its a First Act that copy cats a fender so i was just wondering if i buy a replacement pick guard if it will actually fit and be the same size as a First Acts pickguard? I would measure but i'm ordering it on amazon.com so i won't see it till it gets in and i really don't want to go through the trouble if it won't even fit. Thanks.
Most likely not, Rachel. You would probably need to modify the perimeter of the pickguard to fit between the neck and the bridge, plus the mounting hole locations would not line up correctly. My suggestion would be to disassemble your existing pickguard, and use spray paint (Krylon Fusion is excellent and durable), stickers (skate shop), or multi-colored tape (vinyl from hardware store) to make it stand out. The investment would be small, and the result would be truly one-of-a-kind! Best regards, Dana

The Truth About A Neck Spasm Headache
There are many different kinds of headaches, varying in severity. However, the most common type of headache is a tension headache, also known as a muscle contraction headache. These types of headaches are caused by spasms and tensions of muscles in the neck and shoulders, making "neck spasm headache" an accurate description of a tension headache.
While tension headaches are extremely common (sixty percent of people in a study claimed to experience one or more tension headaches in a week), they are difficult to diagnose and treat. It is important to understand the various ways that a neck spasm headache can be treated so that, if you suffer from these painful headaches, you can decide on the method of treatment that best fits your individual lifestyle and condition.
What Causes a Neck Spasm Headache?
A neck spasm headache or tension headache is caused by muscle spasms in the neck and shoulders that irritate nerves in the head. The irritated nerves generally produce pain at the scalp and base of the skull. You might be wondering what causes muscle spasms. Well, there is a wide range of causes for muscle spasms and they vary greatly in severity. One cause of muscle spasms leading to a neck spasm headache is a rear end motor vehicle accident.
This is one of the more serious causes of a muscle spasm. Such an accident places a large amount of force on the neck, and the muscles located in the neck tighten in response to the pressure. The neck muscles can remain in spasm long after other injuries have healed, and this is why a neck spasm headache resulting from a car accident many become chronic.
Less serious causes of the muscle spasms in the neck that could lead to a neck spasm headache include situations where the neck or spine may be held in one position for too long, such as when you sleep in a chair, work at a computer, or drive for a long period of time.
Treatment of a Neck Spasm Headache
There are several different methods used to treat a neck spasm headache. One of the more common ways is manipulative therapy, which usually reduces the muscle spasms and will return normal motion to the spine. Manipulative therapy is often performed by quickly stretching the muscles. However, other methods of manipulative therapy, such as "counter-strain" also exist. Manipulative therapy is a great treatment option for those patients who do not want to take medication.
What style fits my formal homecoming dress more?
My dress falls slightly above the knee and is silk and form fitting. It is a high neck embellished with jewels and stones, and has a cut out back. Should I wear my hair a little funkier and paint my nails black(going for a high fashion elegant with edge look)? Or where my hair soft and curly somehow and paint my nails red for a more traditional and classy look? My shoes are black as well.
I like the second one more. I think you should amp up the glam with soft and curly hair, but it ultimately depends on your personal style. I don't think you should paint your nails black when your whole outfit is also black.
May I make a suggestion? A super slick ponytail, totally flat ironed, with banks pinned back for a bit of volume? With any color nail polish I think that would look amazing.

Top Picks in Baseball Collectibles
Is someone in your family a fan of baseball collectibles? Or maybe you, yourself, have an affinity for amassing large quantities of memorabilia from America's favorite past times.
There are several different types of keepsakes you can acquire to add to your baseball collectibles. One item that will put a big smile on any fan's face is an autographed baseball. A ball that was held by an icon has special meaning for those who look up to him.
Another road you can take in adding to a fan's baseball collectibles is giving them baseball cards. Some fans like to invest in packs of trading cards, while others will appreciate an autographed card of vintage value.
Dating back to the 1950s, bobble head dolls have been a popular baseball collectibles addition. Now, they're mass-produced, but there are many bobble head dolls that were limited in quantity, making them more valuable.
Sports equipment is also now a hot commodity with baseball collectible enthusiasts. If you're able to get an autographed baseball bat from a beloved player of the game, it'll be a big hit with any avid fan.
While we've primarily focused on the items themselves, don't forget about getting your hands on the best guides to baseball collectibles. This is a treasure because it helps the fan acquire items that not only have the most sentimental value, but also the best potential for a financial investment.
Barry Halper's Collection of Baseball Memorabilia details the 2,500 plus collectibles that were sold through the famed auction house Sotheby's. It includes photos of the rare baseball collectibles from Barry Halper's stash of fan favorites.
Another great choice to help aficionados of America's favorite past time learn all about the finest memorabilia available for this sport is the Beckett Almanac of Baseball Cards and Collectibles.
Guides like these will help novice and seasoned collectors alike learn the value of memorabilia before they invest. And it also helps them determine the value of their own collection so that they don't inadvertently get rid of something that may turn out to be a rare find and worth far more than the price they originally paid.
You probably won't go wrong getting a fan any sort of addition for their baseball collectibles. People who love the game can never have too many of any one keepsake and having double of something is often a blessing because it means they have the luxury of trading one of the pair for something they don't yet have.
If someone dropped David Price in a 12-team h2h league, is he worth picking up?
I realize he's still in the minors, but I have to think he's worth stashing.
If he has cleared waivers, then definately..
(I think you'll miss out on him if you wait as long as previously posted.)
If he's anything like the end of the season last year,,you'd get yourself a real stud.

Finding Your Fat Loss Trigger
Everyone has a trigger - a point in time where you decide to finally take action. For some, it's a trip to the doctor's office. For others, it could be a special occasion where you want to look your best - a wedding, a reunion, or a beach vacation. For me, it was one of the socially awkward situations that fat people often find themselves in.
So there I was, breathing heavily and drenched in sweat. I had just "sprinted" (or as some might call it, "rumbled") through McCarran International Airport to catch the last flight back to the East Coast on a leisure trip to Las Vegas. My bags were strapped around my chest and digging into my ample man cleavage. You could hear the groans and huffs directed at the late arriving passenger as soon as I got on the jetway. Those quickly turned into eye rolls and squished faces as they saw my sweaty, fat self turn the corner and board the plane. I struggled to fit my bags, my gut and my rump down the extremely narrow aisle (it was later I realized that the aisle was so narrow because half the plane was as fat as I was, they just weren't sweating because they were on time). I arrived at my row to find that I was rewarded with a 757 middle seat...a fate worse than death for a fat man. Not only that, but the entire plane is waiting for me to stow my bags and get seated so we can make the long trek home.
So as I struggle to fit my bag under the seat, I could feel the eyes focused on my big, fat sweaty butt bent over, undoubtedly brushing the shoulder of the person across the aisle. Unfortunately, my rear was so big that I had kind of lost feeling in the farthest reaches of it, so if I was hitting into something I didn't really know it. I got my bags wedged in under the seat in front of me, and now it was time for the fun part - wedging my rump into the seat.
I could see the lucky person in the window seat fidgeting as I entered the row, staring out the window blankly with a scowl on her face. She knew that, not only was she going to be sitting next to a sweaty, fat guy for 4+ hours, but that if I needed some extra space I would most likely be leaning in her direction, as she was smaller in stature than the woman occupying the aisle seat.
I get into the seat and struggle with pulling the seatbelt out from under my weighty butt. The entire time I can see the beads of sweat flying to and fro and landing on the floor and seat in front of me - enough to make even me throw up in my mouth just a little. I am muttering to myself, praying that I won't need a seatbelt extension. Luckily I have enough abdominal strength to suck in just enough to get the seatbelt around me. When I breathe out again and try to sit back, I can feel the vinyl armrests digging into my sides and the cold sweat-soaked shirt slowly sticking to my skin all up and down my back. The woman on the aisle gave me a look of disgust as she sat back down, Mrs. Glass House that she was.
As the captain made his announcements, I could feel my heart rate return to "normal" and could also feel the rash forming on the sides of my gut from the relentless armrests - I certainly had a case of the Dunlops (my gut had "dun-lopped" over the armrests!)
Luckily, the woman on the window had a bladder like a camel, because I closed my eyes and fell asleep - probably filling the entire plane with animal-like snores from the excess neck fat I was carrying. I didn't want to risk being awake when the snack cart came around.
What was, in reality, 15 minutes from the time I got through airport security to the time I was seated, felt like an eternity to me. That happens when you are navigating through a most dreaded experience.
That was my watershed - or in this case, my fatshed - moment. It was then that I admitted to myself that I was fat and needed to do something about it.
Guitar capo for my classical guitar. Will a trigger capo work well? Have Jim Dunlop trigger one in mind.?
I need a capo for my classical guitar, but i'm worried a trigger capo won't be very good. Many seem to be curved and i'm thinking it wont be able to press down all the strings on the very flat fretboard my classical guitar has.
Any used a trigger capo on a classical guitar?
Here is the one I have in mind:
http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/Catalogue/ViewProduct.aspx?productId=509
or should I buy one specifically made for the flat fretboards of classical guitars?
Thanks
will an adjustable one meant for acoustic/electric be ok for classical guitars? or vice versa?
The one that PJH showed is good....I have two for classical guitar....they are just the standard capos...and they work just fine..I've never needed a special one, I've always just bought a regular capo....and I've played for over thirty five years !!!!!
