telecaster color debate???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????
blonde with black pickguard or sunburst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff buckley or Johnny Greenwood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Nick
I'm old-fashioned and slightly conservative. Telecaster is noted for its blondish color. Sunburst takes away some of its charm. My opinion.

How much could I sell my guitar and amp for?
I have a Raptor Stratocaster and a First Act 26 Wat amp. I have the power cord and the guitar cable, brand new strings for the guitar, and a guitar case.
Wow, sounds nice,
But depends on the condition of the guitar and the sound of the amp.
Look around at local guitar stores for price comparisons,
go cheaper or go higher either way
put up pictures of it and advertise it
and i'm sure you'll sell it.

Help choosing a guitar need opinions!?
Alright, Its between these guitars here: I've narrowed the ones im interested in down to 6..... So if anyone could give me there opinions on which would be best then thanks! Oh, and if your gonna complain that they all suck then please keep that to your self.
1.Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Custom Plus (Natural)
2.Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Custom (Silverburst)
3.Epiphone 1958 Explorer Electric Guitar (White)
4.Gibson Faded SG Special Electric Guitar (Brown)
5.Schecter C-1 Classic Electric Guitar
6.Hamer Standard Flametop Electric Guitar (Cherry Sunburst)
Stay away from Epiphone. Hamer...nah. So its between Gibson and Schecter. Tough choice. I do not think you can go wrong with either. The Gibson will hold its value better than the Schecter..so if you ever want to trade up I would go with Gibson.

How do you cover a pickguard hole in a stratlike guitar?
I have a guitar that im in the process of painting. It used to have a white pickguard where all the electronics were located. After taking apart the guitar i found that there was a hole under the pickguard where all the electronics r held. I see many other guitars that r made completly out of wood with no pickguard hole like a les paul and i know thats how theyre made but i want to b abler to cover the pickguard hole with something also i wanted 2 put designs on the guitar around where the pickguard should b but i dont know how to paint them there. So can someone help me find something like a piece of wood perhaps that could cover the pickguard hole and also b painted on
Also i wanted to put new electronics in and they won't fit in my old pickguard. Lastly, I dont want 2 keep the same old plastic pickguard so anything besides plastic would b great thx.
Hi,
It sounds like you really want to change a Strat into a Les Paul. Why not sell the Strat and buy a Les Paul?
If you really want to go ahead with this, you will have to buy and shape a piece of wood to fit (leave space for your new electronics). Then you will have to cover the whole top of the guitar with a laminate or veneer or it will look awful.
Do without the pick guard (either get a nice veneer or you are going to paint it anyway).

How do I paint my Guitar?
I want to add a stripe in the corner like this guitar.
http://media.photobucket.com/image/stripe%20on%20guitar/qualitygraphictees/guitars/mayer.png
Can you tell me how? and what colour will look good if my guitars black with a white pickguard?
Step 1
Take the gloss lacquered finish off of the guitar.
Step 2
You need to sand the body down so that the primer will stick evenly to the body (and not run off the sheen), and then the paint sticks to the primer. The advantage with using aerosols is that they're cheaper than a professional spray gun and readily available - you can get them from most shops that sell bits for cars, as car spray paint is the same stuff!
Tip: To avoid doing what I had to do suspend the guitar body from a washing line or similar, using a bit of wire through the neck holes. This way you can walk around the guitar and get both sides of the guitar done at once.
Leave this to dry then build up another couple of coats, until you have a grey, matt-finish guitar.
Step 3
Sand the body, start spraying the paint
Tip: Do not worry if your first couple of coats do not seem to be matching to the colour you bought. They will react with the primer (and also the colour underneath) and probably give you a lighter coat. This will disappear with every coat you apply. Remember you will probably need five or six coats to achieve a full, gloss finish.
Step 4
Once you have applied the final coat, and the finish is to your liking, leave to dry overnight. Tip: If you are planning on applying any custom decals to the guitar, you may wish to apply them now, so that they will be under the lacquer.
At this stage it needs to be clear coated. When this is finished, and you have applied the final coat of lacquer, leave this to dry for a day or two. Once this has dried, pick it up and admire your work. Congratulations! You have painted your guitar body.
